1. Is there not beyond me a country darkened,
Suwayd son of Munjuf and Bikr son of Wail?
١. أَلَيسَ وَرائي ان بِلادٌ تَجَهَمَّت
سُوَيدُ بنُ مَنجوفٍ وَبِكرُ بنُ وائلِ
2. Fortresses which Allah has made, none have seen their like,
Loftiest heights, lowest bottoms crowded together,
٢. حُصونٌ بَراها اللَهُ لَم يُرَ مِثلُها
طِوالٌ أَعاليها شِدادُ الأَسافِلِ
3. They have become my treasure which I shall not forsake,
And my arrows which I have prepared for battle.
٣. هُمُ أَصبَحوا كَنزي الَّذي لَستُ تارِكاً
وَنَبلي الَّتي أَعدَدتُها لِلمُناضِلِ
