1. With your stature, proverbs are coined
You are the sea, and apart from you all else is naught
١. بِجَناب مِثلِكَ تُضرب الأَمثالُ
وَالبَحرُ أَنتَ وَما سِواكَ الآلُ
2. You endowed me with blessings, great is their value
With them good fortune came my way
٢. قَلَدتَني نعماً تَعاظم قَدرُها
وَأَزاحَ أَدباري بِها الاقبالُ
3. If I do not visit you, what keeps me
Is veneration, not disregard
٣. إِن لَم أَزُركَ فَمانِعي وَمدافعي
عَن ذَلِكَ الإِجلال لا الإِخلالُ
