1. O You who when life grants and he reckons it
Stinginess, far from his nobility, he is generous
١. يا مَن إِذا وَهَبَ الدُنيا فَيحسبها
بُخلاً وَحاشا عُلاهُ فَهُوَ مِفضالُ
2. I gift you a glance, and from your blessings, how much have I taken
The like of me is like the one I gifted a request
٢. أَهديكَ طرفاً وَمِن نَعماكَ كَم أَخَذَت
مثليَ مثل الَّذي أَهديت سُؤال
3. But your slaves fear that it would be said to him
You have neither horses to gift nor money
٣. لَكن عُبَيدك يَخشى أَن يُقالَ لَهُ
لا خَيلَ عِندَكَ تَهديها وَلا مالُ
4. Your acceptance is the greatest blessing upon me
With it from fate, honor and glory to me
٤. قُبولَكَ النعمة العُظمى عَليَّ وَلي
بِها مِن الدَهر أَكرام وَأَجلال
