آلى الزمان عليه أن يواليكا

1. Time has ordained that it shall always be devoted to you
Singing your praises, never finding your equal

١. آلى الزَمان عَلَيهِ أَن يواليكا
يَثني عَلَيكَ وَلا يَأتي بِثانيكا

2. If it is generous, through your perfect execution
If it is bountiful, through your great efforts

٢. فَإِن سَطا فَبِإِحكام تنفّذها
وَإِن سَخى فَبفضل مِن مَساعيكا

3. Let this feast have a share of it, when it has come
Its ascent then its descent through your hands

٣. لِيهن ذا العيد حَظ مِنهُ حينَ غَدَت
عُلاهُ ثُمَ حُلاهُ مِن أَياديكا

4. Its crescent attained a rank above the full moon
Facing you, approaching the thresholds of your abode

٤. هِلالهُ نالَ فَوقَ البَدر مَنزِلَة
مُستَقبلاً وَجهُهُ أَعتاب ناديكا

5. Adorned with gifts from your surpassing hands
Perfumed with aromas from your pouches

٥. مُجملاً بِأَيادٍ مِنكَ فائِقَة
مُعَطِراً بِغوالٍ مِن غَواليكا

6. It came to congratulate you, and we congratulate it through you
O joy of religion and world, we congratulate you

٦. وافى يَهني بِكَ الدُنيا وَنَحنُ بِهِ
يا بَهجَة الدين وَالدُنيا نَهنيكا

7. Who can match what you have attained in nobility?
Who can compare to you in wisdom and judgment?

٧. مَن ذا يُضاهيكَ فَيما حُزت مِن شَرَف
وَمَن يُدانيكَ في حُكم وَيَحكيكا

8. The sun, no matter how high it rises, falls short
Of even the least of the sights of your observatories

٨. فَالشَمس مَهما تَرقت فَهِيَ قاصِرَة
عَن بَعض أَيسر شَيء مِن مَراقيكا

9. The moon is but a flash of your light that we see
And the sea a drop of water from your valleys

٩. وَالبُدرُ لَمحة نور مِنكَ نُبصِرُها
وَالبَحرُ قَطرة ماءٍ مِن غَواديكا

10. Every towering mountain is insignificant
When a hill from near your valley appears

١٠. وَكُلُ طود تَسامى فَهُوَ مُحتقر
إِذا بَدَت وَهَدة مِن نحوِ واديكا

11. All glory is gained through your supreme efforts
All pride we see comes from your peripheries

١١. وَكُلُ مَجدٍ فَمِن عَلياغك مُكتسب
وَكُلُ فَخرٍ نَراهُ مِن حَواشيكا

12. What the past ancestors related and told us
Of virtues is but some of your sublime traits

١٢. وَما حَكى السَلَف الماضي وَحَدثنا
بِهِ مِن الفَضل بَعضٌ مِن مَعاليكا

13. The ascetics are humbly devoted to your chastity
And the highest heaven envies your meanings

١٣. تَعنو لِعفتك الزهاد مذعنة
وَيَحسد الفَلك الأَعلى مَعانيكا

14. O son of the swords that defended the faith
You are the one ransomed, all people ransom you

١٤. يابنَ الحُسام الَّذي لِلدين نَصرتهُ
أَنتَ المُفدى فَكُلُ الناس تَفديكا

15. All our feasts are days we see you
And Laylat al-Qadr whenever your nights befall

١٥. أَعيادُنا كُلَها يَوم نَراكَ بِهِ
وَلَيلة القَدر وَقت مِن لَياليكا
