1. The fool his time in largess pays away,
And through the seasons makes perpetual May;
١. إِن الغَبيَّ زَمانَهُ بِسَخائِهِ
يُمضي رَبيعاً في الفُصول الأَربَع
2. While churlish souls their grubby lives outwear,
Forsaken and unwept when comes their day.
٢. وَتَرى المُقل مُفارِقاً أَحبابُهُ
لَم يَلف غَير مُشيع وَمودع
