1. Oh, how strange are the affairs of the people of Qushayr!
They alarmed us and said the people are few,

2. Though they were many that day, but
We became numerous when we clashed and they shrank.

3. The leader said to the bodies, “This
Will separate between us if you do not return.”

4. So they returned to the spear and the white blades among them
And among their neighbors pools and loftiness.

5. And we went out with the skulls, every hanging
Breast overlooking above it a hanging breast.
