For every cultured man and space for every horse,

6. Time has spread over it after its companion
The garments of mortality and everything perishes,

7. And I stood there glad at what gladdened me
In it and made me laugh what made me cry,

8. And I saw in its yards gathered
The lions of drinking and the does of flirting,

9. O you two standing with me at the house seek
Another for it if you are standing,

10. A visitor prevented standing at the dwellings
He ordered my tears in my eyelids and forbade me,

11. So if the tears seduce or my disobeying tear mislead
Or my disobedience in it or my disobedience,

12. We are indeed united by crying and each of us
Cries over a passion from passions,

13. And I have made love a veil for my tears
While my eyes are overflowing for another,

14. I cry for the loved ones in Damascus while between us

19. And I was captured in the course of my steeds invading
And I was imprisoned in what ignited my fires,

20. We are escorted by a truthful loyal generous escort
To a country by your life I never stopped visiting,

21. With an honorable aged leader who stimulated yearning,
We will meet misfortunes in you and others

22. With succes from God in misfortunes patient,
And I have long broken the chest of a civilized man

23. And I have long made the nose of a hater bleed,
And I have long led the steeds to battle

24. Driving the camels with long saddles,
And I am the one who filled all the plain

25. With my fire and my smoke danced in the sky,
If my years are not long I have

26. The opinion of the wise and vigor of youth,
I stand with what saddened the enemies my stance

27. And time comes out to me with peers,
Time passes and I have not won except a treacherous friend

28. Except I have won a treacherous companion,
O time you betrayed me with the loyal my privacy

29. And betrayed me among all the brethren,
But the Sword of the State, my master whom

30. I have not forgotten and I see he does not forget me,
Would he who has always protected me nobly let me down

31. And lower me he who raised me high?
He is the essence of loyalty and none is loyal but him

32. Who accepts the distress of my dire condition,
I am jealous over my place that I see

33. Men in it whose place my place cannot fill,
Or that there will be a transgression or raid

34. In which I have no trace with the youths,
The sword of guidance is hoped from the edge of your sword

35. A day that will humiliate disbelief for faith,
These armies swarm towards your countries

36. Surrounded by disbelief and crucifixes,
Transgression is most likely their horses are few

37. And transgression is the worst companion of man,
They do not intend so do not you intend in your matter

38. The hesitant does not rise for other than the riser,
Angry for the sake of God’s religion do not be angry

39. Two swords have not become famous in His victory,

40. And virtues of Quran are specific to you,
They have angered you so be angry and prepare

41. For war like an angry raging lion,

And the horsemen of Bakr after hardship dispersed

49. The gathering of foreigners from Anoushirwan,
They maintained for Bakr a pride and its lineages

50. Without their tribes are Yazid and Hani,
Preventing the necks and uprising with their stabbing

51. And the revolters with killing al-Numan,
And Saraa of Bakr after distress dispersed
