1. The free man endures with patience whatever he can
In every time and era

2. And sees helping the generous as nobility
As long as misfortunes of fate did not harm him

3. And he melts with keeping silent unless
His conditions inform against keeping silent

4. So when his condition was uncovered and weakened
You would find him complaining with every tongue

5. And if a house brought me close, I left it
And Allah graces me in every place
