1. You taught me to cast off restraint
In a town of no fixed state

2. At times enclosing all within its grasp
As though a rampart's barricade

3. At others from them hid away
As though a secret thoughts invade

4. It's as if it knew the measures of passion
And to their whim itself displayed

5. If it senses the Imam paying call
Amidst his people it stands arrayed

6. Appearing then hiding after his departure
As haloes round the moon will fade
