1. Who can I hold close, your slender waist,
And kiss rose petals on your cheek?

2. When the breeze blows,
I smell jasmine from you.

3. I meet the winds openly
As they playfully toss your curls.

4. I become happy when the morning blows,
Bringing whiffs of your softness.

5. I go back to watching for its return,
Yearning for your waving tresses.

6. I wonder - is there a witness
Who can buy for me what I see of your sweetness,

7. And taste for me the delicate wine
Of your pleasing cold lips?

8. I swear by your truthfulness,
And she who swore by your truthfulness,

9. I - though pilgrims have not attained
With their prayers your prayers' bounty.

10. I have not betrayed your love,
No, and not the love - our old love.

11. Love pours like a thirsty man
Whose thirst was quenched by your sweetness.

12. You lit a fire in my heart
That blazed with the warmth of your fire.

13. Cure me with the bliss of your company,
You have tortured me with your painful estrangement.

14. So be gentle to a sensitive lover
Clinging to the softness of your affection.

15. You are the doctor - my shoes,
So perhaps I will be healed by your threshold.

16. You have bound me not to change,
Yet you have freed the bond of your pact.

17. And you promised me, then made me wait,
O procrastinator, with your violation of promises!

18. My eyes long for you
While my heart inclines toward your intention.

19. You have distanced Munjid from me,
The clouds have watered the expanse of your Najd.

20. Do not distance me, for my crossing
Flows to you through the length of your absence.

21. You are the prince in his beauty,
Beauty is but some of your troops.

22. You have all beauty combined,
So all of it is within your individuality.

23. None is like your words or your actions,
Or like your seriousness or your generosity.

24. And I have shed my tears
Flowing like the scattering of your necklace's pearls.

25. For Muhammad ‒ I have not yet
Fulfilled, and Muhammad is incumbent upon your praise.

26. No one has loved a son like me,
And a son who obeyed like my love for you.

27. I was told praiseworthy things about you
Made easy by your guidance.

28. Be your grandfather's servant, and let me know
That I am a servant of your grandfather.

29. May your delicate craftsmanship be preserved,
Its essence has overflowed your limit.

30. It has overflowed from it, so the anklet overflows
From the tinkling of your anklet.

31. Look at the good words,
And do not vilify them with your ugly response.

32. And know that I struggle for you in the country,
Praying - so strive with your striving.

33. Upon me is a mixed up lightning bolt,
I give life water from the lightning of your thunder.

34. My star and your star have come close,
To be joined in the mansion of your good fortune.
