You handed over its leadership to your sublime self,

4. No wonder you became the one who congratulates the glorious,
If not for him, the robes of religion would have scattered.

5. He is the exalted one, elevated by his glory,
With a lofty stature, beyond the Pleiades.

6. I prepared for him supplies, fortifying them
Against the enemy, when fate was hostile,

7. He became the protector of the true religion,
And a source and conduit for knowledge.

8. From his horizon of glory dawned
A rising, never matched by the full moon.

9. To compare him to another is folly,
Like weighing gold against lead.

10. You aim for a sea with billowing waves
If the sea runs dry, it will never run dry.

11. You will find him, no matter how severe the drought,
Saving the distressed from adversity.

12. Like rain when you seek it desperately,
And a lion whenever you seek his aid.

13. He extracts an opinion in knowledge definitively,
Superior to Indian steel when wielded.

14. If he did not stand firm with knowledge,
Knowledge and its springs would run dry.

15. With an ease never attained on any day,
And an objective always attained.

16. How many envious of me began
To show resentment - from their envy of you I gained prestige.
