3. Seeking refuge in Allah out of fear, there was not
For me other than your love as refuge.

4. So it's as if when you act harsh your heart is
A normal rock while your heart is steel.

5. You settled in the most cherished part of my heart,
And with your settling the most cherished became wounded.

6. We indulged with your companionship for a while
O you whom in it from it to it is refuge.

7. And you discarded it the discarding of a pebble indifferently
While the lover's heart is easily discarded.

8. I hung a talisman of insanity on my mind
As if charms and talismans could be of use.

9. If not for tolerance I would not be enchanted with a land
Under the sky even if it is most fertile.

10. Puller of the rope of connection, O my father and my loving one,
Repairer of its rope, puller.

11. In you I have burning embers in my ribs
And tears have no effect on you.

12. We indulged with your companionship by force
Since there is no refuge in estrangement.

13. No harm if the firm covenant hastens to unravel
A refuge whom desire did not fully seize.

14. And I was patient and returned to you in love
If not for love, monopoly would not become habit for me.
