1. What agony flows in its channels,
I knew who you wanted with the sincerity of its channel,

2. It came back with a broken spine, yet continued,
Its stumbling goes on as usual.

3. Oh nights, how you have cast the people of guidance,
As white sacrifices with the darkness of its daughters,

4. The world sighed with it, and how many souls
Of the exalted ones live the day of their death.

5. It knocked to find, what a calamity,
It soon had mercy on its sisters,

6. It trod the noses in the dust and bowed down,
Hiding in shame like the worried deceased.

7. It took Jafar, he who,
Caused the seas to stream in its depths,

8. Ruin took the kind-hearted soul,
That gave life to the darkness with its prayers and devotion

9. It did not disobey since realizing its worshipped,
It did not comply, it is above its desires,

10. It will not follow, like others, its devil,
It shunned the world and all that comes with it.

11. O you who cries, does he know in his nonsense,
Of the preventers while the soul is unaware?

12. Do you see he laments Mudar the exalted and its glory,
And its victorious horsemen and the defeat of its elite?

13. If not for the carpenter you would not be master,
Of Hashim, and you would not be of its masters,

14. You blocked the path of lament until,
It rose high and flew over its defining traits,

15. Who shook the towering mountain and crushed it,
A crushing that drops the birds from their nests,

16. Whoever abandoned Islam, lowly and disgraced,
While the Muslims cry loudly,

17. Whoever robbed the sun on the horizon in its spheres,
Who terrified the lion in its forests,

18. And who eclipsed the star from its mansions,
And brought down the moon from its halo,

19. The state changes, and what state does not change?
Things move in their states.

20. O beloved of the rock of virtue, after you stalled,
The halls of knowledge and dawn in its chambers,

21. If it sheds a tear for you, perhaps,
It mimics the lightning of its tears.

22. It lost with you the lead in its race,
And its energetic jumper in its arenas,

23. Oh what a time that did not trip you up,
Yet how many times it tripped up your sons with its pitfalls!

24. If fate could be averted, your loyal clan would have,
Defended you against death in its onslaught,

25. Or if anguish could be extinguished by the sigh of the anguished,
The soul would have finished you off with its sighs,

26. But the command of God is supreme, fulfilled,
Souls die at their specified time.

27. Oceans of knowledge and pearls that
Are like meteors in their flashes,

28. Came down eulogizing a father who had before him,
The Mother of the Book, and so it was among its signs,

29. A piercing allusion with an idea,
Like a spear stab and the sting of an adder,

30. Its opinions were illuminated with brilliant stars,
As if it placed the stars in their settings,

31. The soul of the exalted is sensible in its five senses,
The living spirit is the pillar of its six directions,

32. It let down on the greens its dangling tresses,
As if the Virgo is one of its sweet springs,

33. Do not compare him to another, making a simile,
Distinguish the raven from its companions.

34. He attained all virtues together, so if,
You know a virtue, count him among it.

35. How many generous hands competing with him,
Are shy to stretch from their bounty.

36. The sights of enviers were blinded, but if they saw,
They would see the slander their tongues uttered.

37. Not to precede in enmity, but scorpions by nature,
Sting with their tails without provocation,

38. And the mind is a mirror of our realities through which,
They appear, and people's views are its reflection.

39. If not for propriety, I would have elaborated,
But words are only appropriate at certain times.

40. Every clear thing becomes a goal,
Horses run to the extent of their capabilities.

41. It distinguishes for you its commendations and defects,
Two traits: the beauty of its qualities and its faults,

42. And differentiates its proudest from its most despised,
The elite from the common on their brows,

43. O son of the early Hashimites,
And the climbers to the heights of its minarets,

44. Stop attacking the banners, and remain for a family,
Whose nature is fierceness in its assaults,

45. Like cubs attached to the den of its lion,
Following it in its pouncing and jumps,

46. How can you despair while being the stronghold of its entirety,
Responsible for gathering its fragmented parts?

47. And console the cub who lost its lion,
For cubs are for lions in their absence.
