1. Convey to Abu Ishaq that we
Took a stance against them, though hard it be.

2. We marched not to spare the weak,
Our march was swift and our time picked.

3. We found them few in their ranks
like locusts at first meeting of the flanks.

4. We clashed when we saw them looming,
And when their horde came we saw our dooming.

5. Blows we took from their relentless throngs
And stabs that made our ranks ebb long.

6. Each day you're made victorious upon your foe’s range,
With every brigade mourning Hussein’s change.

7. As Muhammad was graced at Badr’s fight,
And Hunain’s day when he showed his might.

8. So revel while you reign but if we held command,
We would wreak havoc as we expand.

9. Accept my repentance for now I vow
To thank you should you mercy allow.

For that increases those who find you hard.
