1. Purify your inner self with the water of piety
And accept the times as they are
١. طهِّر بِمَاءِ التُّقى جَنابَك
واصحَب عَلى حَالِهِ زَمَانَك
2. And maybe in the home of its sons
You will find safety from their tyranny
٢. وَدَارِ أبناءَهُ عَسى أن
تَنالَ مِن بُغيَتِهِم أمانَك
3. And be silent when you hear nonsense
And do not move your tongue with it
٣. وَاصمُت إِذا ما سَمِعتَ لغواً
وَلاَ تُحَرِّك بهِ لسَانَك
