1. The knowledge of jurisprudence died when
Its collector, Muhammad, passed away

2. The most virtuous and purest of souls
And the greatest of men in resolve

3. May God have mercy on an Imam
Who was unique in his knowledge

4. He disliked evil and chose
For us the everlasting good

5. O people why do
Tears run out and are renewed

6. And why does weeping swell
And sighs of anguish ascend

7. While he is in an abode of truth
His neighbor, the Chosen One, Ahmad

8. I sheltered him, an excellent neighbor
In the highest [Paradise] for eternity
