1. The beauty of the doe gleamed in her hiding place,
Her antlers pointing to her shelter.

2. The veil concealed her from strangers,
Her fragrance betrayed where she was.

3. A goddess - had she married Pleiades,
It would not have borne her equal.

4. My tears are jealous of her,
Blocking my eyes from seeing her.

5. Modesty restrains me from her,
Else I'd visit her in her bower.

6. My soul perceives gardens in her pavilions -
Eyes feast on longed-for sights there.

7. She has an eye called "Cascade"
Quenched only by her sweet rain.

8. Blessed is He who gave her rose cheeks
And crowned her mouth with lush fruits,

9. Gave her the fresh bough’s bloom as crown
And showed her beauty's full glory!

10. She rode the saddle when she set out,
The night was blackened by her absence.

11. The fragrant breeze still carries
Scent from her guard to her tent,

12. Until I was brought to a lofty palace,
Exalted, built to elevate her.

13. There Beauty with languid eyes resides,
A fawn bewildered in her sun.

14. Her light splits the gloom,
As she once cleaved minds in awe.

15. She seemed a radiant full moon
When my mount’s clamor drew her forth,

16. Wanting to host me, she asked, “Name your wish!”
I said, “To see you and no other.”

17. She answered, “Welcome and greetings!”
Sweetest words from her honeyed mouth.

18. I stayed embracing a doe from her,
A fawn wandering in her sun.

19. The Emir of Jeddah, the Guide, the Herald -
Faithful Trustee, the Chosen Praised One -

20. May God prolong his exalted life
And empower the keenness of his mind!

21. When the world seeks refuge in his wisdom,
He restores its faded youth.

22. He consoles its woes with reforms
That make one forget past troubles.

23. The Muslim nations ransom him -
An Imam who surpassed all in nobility and glory.

24. His white swords penetrate the brave,
Then return like anemones from his threshing.

25. They busy themselves with holy war, unconcerned
With trifles when supporting the Truth.

26. He certified the sciences with his judgments,
Encompassing every issue from its nucleus.

27. His hands wield sharp swords and high principles,
As well as polished blades and lofty peaks.

28. For Abd al-Qadir al-Husseini - most generous
And gentle, whether yielding or vaunting -

29. He has a quality greater than pearls
And higher standing than the stars.

30. Through you, son of nobles and sublime hills,
The best that Grace cultivated.

31. The Blessed Feast shone brighter
With the joyous light it gained from you.

32. With it you slaughtered cares from every weary one,
Slaughtering adversaries and personnel.

33. So you are most deserving of congratulations
For the abundant joy you obtained.

34. Thus feasts remain a necklace for you,
A circle whose end meets its beginning.
