1. She said, while the garden smiled at her torment,
And the light of her life gazed at it,

2. "Is this the bliss whose nightingale is in the branches,
Or have you attained what is in the chalice of the wine?

3. So I said, by Allah, o garden of sweetness, you have not
Attained save to one in whose saliva is Kauthar.

4. With breasts like pomegranates, glances like narcissi,
Cheeks like apples, and moles like ambergris."
