1. You loved the reward of fasting, O son of the generous
And you became the feast of feasts, O best ruler

2. So the days continued to call you their feast
And sing of what is to come after them

3. And you continued to give every fasting its alms
By relieving the oppressed and destroying the unjust

4. For you are, for the Great House, the greatest paradise
Protecting people from the injustice of violent years

5. And a refuge of endowments, lofty and magnificent
With your blessings, endowments of great kings

6. And I determined a master about whom I said, recording history
