1. The king rejoiced at your return, O best ruler,
With his return the realms became delighted,

2. And he came before the Feast of Sacrifice, the feast of,
Meeting, so the world became radiant and serene,

3. He filled Syria with joys that sighed,
About the praiser and about us what was engraved,

4. But after what it used to sing,
About it the bribes, O my Master openly,

5. Therefore my shepherd with praise was generous
And how much he was stingy on a ruler and was miserly

6. I looked at it, and in lineage there was stinginess,
So when I saw your generosity I became generous,

7. So we said to the cities and the villages
Your witness for him in Yemen is true,

8. So congratulate the people of Syria and say
Good praise has come to you
