1. The garden of news has withered, so
Today no one looks in it but the mourners,

2. And the reason for the resignation of the Honorable Prime Minister
Has left in the eye nothing but wakefulness.

3. The Lord of the kingdom does in His kingdom
What He wills, and to Allah belongs this purpose.

4. So O men of the king, do not despair
Of the mercy of Allah, and pray to Him.

5. For our trusted one, our Sultan,
Abdulaziz the brave, protector of the country,

6. And the pardon that we hope from him will not
Sadden the creation of Allah, unsettle the heart.
