7. Catapults to shoot fire
To the furthest stronghold

8. Bullets in steel pipes
Or even harder

9. And horses they trained to face
Horrors and afflictions

10. And a fleet they prepared
For a dark, blind day

11. And pilots who carried off
Death into the highest space

12. Balls filled with fire
So if you are sprinkled with them, how horrible!

13. To destroy what they built
And burn what resisted

14. And flags and instruments
To ascend or descend

15. And darkness and lights
To blind or illuminate

16. And youths who preceded
Everyone into dissipation

17. And the sea foamed with ships
Yet the whales were not sated

18. And the land was filled with troops
Until afflictions spread

19. And the air crowded with missiles
Until even the birds panicked

20. And the trumpet sounded cries
Echoed by the excited mob

21. "Your death is coming from you
If you do not repel the enemy"

22. And it was said, "Shoot, O brother of the cannon, do not tire"
And O land, drink from our blood as we water you

23. And the land of death has colors
How ugly is that which was fed

24. So who was cut off and who bought
And who burned when roasted

25. And who was cut and who cut
And who wiped when blinded

26. And determination and hesitation
And who folded and who bent

27. And stabber and stabbed
And who was healed and who fell

28. And screams and sighs
And shouts that seemed to repeat

29. And trampled and abandoned
With no merciful attendee

30. And terrified and defeated
With no protector or refuge

31. And bodies covered the land
Suffering the agony of death

32. So the bird of the air panicked
And the beast of the land disappeared

33. And the river water was turbid
And vegetation grew dense

34. And a fortress that used to be
Tells of scattering wheat

35. And countries and homes
With fires that kept burning

36. So no eye or feature
Or protector or pasture

37. And children and old people
Calling, “O people of value!”

38. And women without money
Or help or shelter

39. A mother and her children cried out
“What is this blind fate?”

40. “And who will clothe and feed
Your children, O bereaved woman?”

41. And how much weeping on stone
And how many despaired of life

42. Countries that were once
A blessing for the people of the world

43. Homes we knew
As beautiful gardens

44. Whatever you wished for of virtue
And knowledge and nobility

45. And construction surpassing
Description, simile or counting

46. And no similar precedent
In a history we recount

47. So alas, woe, woe
For the wounded, for the killed

48. And sorrow to the dissuaded ones
Amongst the people of evil and folly

49. And woe to delights and wishes
And to the finest splendors

50. And those buildings and pleasures
And supreme, lofty glories

51. And gardens and orchards
And what is craved and ransomed

52. And shame on deserted wilds
Where hyenas have grown bold

53. They rule people unjustly
Without objection

54. They called for war in the name of truth
Without shame in their claim

55. Yet truth denies their claim
And mighty truth cannot be obscured

56. And they betrayed the covenant of
The one who was good to his subjects

57. And broke what they pledged
And overstepped in his land

58. So they did not fulfill the promise
Or realize what is recounted

59. They violated every law
And disobeyed each prohibition

60. So who of their captives suffered?
And who did they make destitute?

61. And woe to the deluded one
To the evilest afflictions

62. And the fire of war flared
Until it engulfed all people without exception

63. So we became without money
Or work or refuge

64. Recession covered the whole world
And the grief of death amongst the living

65. And poverty spread to all people
With the first blow

66. As if there never were
States or hopes

67. Or those who spend millions
For comfort and amusement

68. Or beautiful ladies whose charm
Makes the world smile

69. So despair was on people's faces
Telling of the horrors

70. And the sword of war unsheathed
And a river of blood of the living

71. And a bandage that dressed the wounded
And wounded who buried the killed

72. And no one was safe
Except the land of America

73. Though affliction there
Also began to be seen

74. And this is just the beginning of afflictions
And the end may not be spared

75. Let the curse be upon the one
Who reaped these disasters

76. And the victors said, “We will reap
The ultimate goal”

77. So we have public treasuries
And wealth comes to us

78. And we command every fleet
And our glory ascends to the stars

79. And it was said, “Rain fire upon them
That consumes their limbs”

80. “And do not stop or care
For killing aggressors is moral”

81. “And dismantle the throne of an arrogant tyrant
Who exalted and raised himself”

“Like an imaginary tale told with pleasure”

“Who said that right belongs to the mighty”
