1. I seek refuge in Allah, imam of the age
Sign of the world, jewel of time

2. Al-Yaziji, the sheikh, lord of prose
From an envious and hateful plotter

3. So which sea of poetry
Does the pearl not swell within

4. And which knowledge does not flow
The course of a noble preceding star

5. And which words like shining stars
Were not obedient to his prohibition and order

6. His transcending creation beyond all guessing
It flows over rhetoric and eloquence

7. As if the water of grace flows in it
Or it is a breeze from the aroma of flowers

8. Or the imam from the rays of dawn
Formed necklaces that mocks coral

9. In every saying and every line
How many signs it inspires and how many secrets

10. It says, whoever tastes any wine
Ibrahim walks without a burden

11. It has left the people of prohibition intoxicated
And wet their mouths with perfume

12. So which gem is not in this sea
And which virtue is not in this ink

13. And which meaning from the meanings of magic
Competes with our teacher to the extent

14. That it makes kings aim for pride
A city or a symbol of victory

15. Or they gather for their glory in a palace
Adornment of every country and land

16. Or they grant one day to the poor
A gift aiming for praise and gratitude

17. For the professor aims for reward
And for the sake of great benevolence

18. He built the richest Egypt
For the people of virtue in the star of the guide, Eden of jewels

19. But he collected the world for them on a journey
It became the circumference of its expanse and land

20. With its atmosphere to the shining stars
To the furthest extents of what was conceived in thought

21. For it is a book that has no equal
And no folding on the day of unfolding

22. It keeps for the pole of knowledge, the free man of the age
A glorious mention, what a mention

23. And its description beyond the power of fate
And its praise beyond the position of my poetry

24. So may Allah grant him a long life
For he is the best treasure for the people of virtue
