1. After Sa'eed, O most fortunate one
Has fate spent the most miserable time

2. How close we were, how close you two were
How far the intention, how far

3. Patience is difficult after you both
And tears flow, never freezing

4. When I think of losing you both
I find a life not to be praised

5. Two pillars, their places now empty
Who can fill this outstretched sea?

6. When they wrote or made a speech
You cannot tell which was more eloquent

7. And poetry obeyed them, so they
Were unmatched in rhyme

8. And if you disputed, which one
Would you see as more rightly guided?

9. You’d think them, for their shyness
As if they gained what they earned

10. And if you weighed people and tossed
Their likeness, you’d struggle to find any

11. Their companion prides himself on them
While the envious sleeps sightless

12. And if they delved into any art
They came with the double and the supported

13. God bless the gatherings we had
In times more carefree

14. They were a necklace around the neck
Of happy days, then torn apart

15. O best of those I kept company with and befriended
Whether absent or present

16. Two angelic souls who took
Bodies - nothing compares

17. Virtue and merits dazzled
Wit and prohibition surpassed limits

18. Their manners sincere and flawless
From any fault or corruption

19. Never did I hear an unpleasant word
From them, joking or serious

20. Their joy and dignity
Never parted, close as close can be

21. Running in virtue to a time
None can reach unless exerting utmost effort

22. Two mountains of patience mocked
Fate and aimed many arrows

23. A wind of calamity blew against them
And choked them one dark day

24. A day of destined departure
The soul owner has no eternal abode

25. And the memory of its companion remains
How excellent their work or path

26. Your remembrance, O best of noble brothers
Lasting forever with the scent of amity

27. God is guarantor in the Gardens
Of an age without end
