1. In a dream I asked my father Adam,
And I said, my heart beating fast:
١. سأَلتُ في النَومِ أَبي آدَما
فَقُلتُ وَالقَلبُ بِهِ وامِقُ
2. By God, father of Hazim,
The Creator Angel prayed upon you -
٢. أَاِبنُكَ بِاللَهِ أَبو حازِمٍ
صَلّى عَلَيكَ المالِكُ الخالِقُ
3. So he said to me: If you are from me,
From my lineage, then your mother is divorced.
٣. فَقالَ لي إِن كانَ مِنّي وَمِن
نَسلي فَحَوّا أُمُّكُم طالِقُ
