1. Do not distance me tomorrow, bring me close
With the nearness of Your servants, O All-Wealthy

2. Your servant implores You, so pardon him
Perhaps the wretched one may become fortunate

3. Make easy for him the difficult, and support him
For surely You are the Supporter, the Guardian

4. I despair if with pardon You do not find
Your disobedient servant saved by it

5. Your hands outstretched with sustenance
The disobedient implores You, and the devout

6. The meadow of youth is withered and dry
While the obedient, adorned one is supple

7. Time betrayed me
Though I remained faithful

8. My gray hair suffices me, for within it
Is wisdom, for one whose heart went astray

9. Your manners, had you lived with me, my ally
And my meadow, were your agreeable nature

10. It would wither and collapse if my love dwelt in it
However firm and distant it was

11. O Yasmin, when you drew near it
And said, “The intelligent can be skillful”

12. On that day we have a deed
Witnessed by both elder and child

13. Death has resolved to drink you, a cup
No protector has escaped drinking

14. The servant of the All-Wealthy intercedes
Until the Exalted One feels safe from fear

15. My intercessors in Him
Are Muhammad and his two pure sons

16. O Lord, the word of the Prophet is truth
So fulfill what the Prophet has spoken
