The water of virtues poured since his blood was shed

2. The Bani Nabhan awoke the day he passed away
The hand of time wreaked havoc on them and its mouth

3. I saw him wearing the sword's scabbard
Like the full moon when its darkness receded from its face

4. In a garden whose borders were adorned with flowers
I realized upon waking that it was his bounty

5. I said while tears of sorrow and joy both flowed
And filled both cheeks as they ran together

6. Didn't you die long ago, O soul's companion?
He said: One whose nobility hasn't died is not dead
