2. Misfortunes from fate struck me in succession,
Each from an angry bow that found its mark.

4. A sea of generosity whose waves crash forth foam,
Its bubbles are silver adorned with pearls.

5. If not for Ibn Hassaan, generosity would have died,
And the clouds of stinginess would have covered all goodness.

6. As the days went by they toyed with me,
And their winds stripped the leaves from my branches.

7. I joined the palm of blessings to the palm of riches,
Parting from both my worries and sorrows.

8. Until I wore the garb of ease, spread over

Down my joys with worries - such an imbalance!
