ناظِرٌ مِن طَرفِ مُنجَمِشِ
2. His gaze has struck my heart
The arrow of his eyes did not miss
٢. قَد رَمى قَلبي بِلَحظَتِهِ
سَهمُ عَينَيهِ فَلَم يَطِشِ
3. The hand of destiny has etched
Upon his cheeks the finest engravings
٣. نَقَشَت كَفُّ المَلاحَةِ في
وَجنَتَيهِ أَطرَفَ النُقُشِ
4. My thirst is quenched by his kiss
So when will he slake my thirst?
٤. عَطَشي يُروى بِقُبلَتِهِ
فَمَتى رِيِّيِ مِنَ العَطَشِ
