1. If our enviers increase, say: count them!
And a sincere, loyal friend is enough for us.

2. And I have not served you with their morals,
But with the morals truth itself creates.

3. By Allah, they have not attained their hopes in me
While you had the complaint and my mouth spoke.

4. And I am not one who accepts intercession with you
Rather my intercessor is your dislike of vileness and manners.

5. By Allah, the insight of Haydar did not fail
So that Rashid’s authority guides people.

6. It is upon you, O fair one, to be fair to one who tomorrow
Will be your loyal slave - the free man whom freedom did not blame.

7. And at every moment, by Allah as protector,
Loyal to your pact which gain did not tempt.

8. To you, O my Master, he complains of his affliction
So he obtains kindness and gentle care.

9. For I am not one whose rights are lost
Nor are you one who loses people's rights.
