Lawful magic calling me to obey,

6. I have not recited in my life a verse like the beauty of her verse,
Except the words of my beloved I used to herd,

7. She sent us a message from her side,
In which she deposited the highest eloquence,

8. I recited it and stood in reverence,
For she had hurried her Gabriel towards me,

9. That respected leader called out, preferring people
The sun of knowledge blotted out the brightest stars,

10. He shook pens you see him succeed
Between eloquence and rhetoric all together,

11. The king of hearts in his nearness and his distance,
I sacrifice myself for him from envy even if it is prolonged,

12. How the literati lie in wait for verses about him,
When he rose to the highest peak of knowledge loftily,

13. Thus benefiting them closely and from afar,
The suns set examples even if they are distant,

14. O you noble one who has been generous to me
With favors and initiated them,

15. You still grant us beauty and generosity,
Since we repay him with the best prayers.
