1. To you my poem from Egypt folds
Our greetings so you tell of musk scattered

2. And if it's lost no wonder for we
For your day preservers of the greatest memory

3. For in it Al-Bas penned on the hillsides
With your blood the spilled crimson lined

4. Followed by the fluttering, and it will remain
For it the world lifelong will chant

5. And whoever reads it we see him
Repeating greetings to you inclined

6. Esteeming the invaders of Hamakash highly
And raising the protectors of your Hamak dignity

7. Your hand spread spring so you bloomed a garden
And for your garden the two armies were flowers

8. And you were to the two armies' audacity a refuge
And you were for the elite of the two armies a grave

9. One attacked openly with valiant assault
Excelled in courage and was distinguished indeed

10. The heroes of Anzac came, how crowded
Saw terror and covered the land blinded
