1. My heart is stirred and patience has now left
After consolation and after patience they were defeated

2. And the memory of my dear ones stirred it after its tranquility
And it recalled what it encounters so it erected difficulties

3. The closeness of my dear ones scratched it and did not scratch

O kin from His creation, non-Arabs and Arabs

7. I used to think my passion for you, O dear one was
Until separation lowered over us and so it went

8. When I extended with the rope of my heart toward you
My heart recoiled from what it plunged into and so was pulled back

9. By God, kinsmen did not approach or depart
Except that it lightly hastened toward it, disturbed

10. Nor did their complaints on a day when adorned
Except the water of the eye trickled and poured down

11. So if you blamed my kin or reproached
Then my kinsmen and comrades blamed you for eras
