1. You disobey God while professing your love for Him
This is impossible to reconcile, uniquely absurd
١. تَعصي الإِلَهَ وَأَنتَ تُظهِرُ حُبَّه
هَذا مُحالٌ في القِياسِ بَديعُ
2. If your love were true, you would obey Him
For the lover is obedient to the beloved
٢. لَو كانَ حُبُّكَ صادِقاً لأَطَعتَهُ
إِنَّ المُحِبَّ لِمَن يُحِبُّ مُطيعُ
3. Each day He tests you with favors
From Him, yet you fail in thanking the Bestower
٣. في كُلِّ يَومٍ يَبتَليكَ بِنِعمَةٍ
مِنهُ وَأَنتَ لِشُكرِ ذاكَ مُضيعُ
