Embroidered with pearls
١. مُتَوَّجٌ بِعَقيقٍ
مُقَرَّطٌ بِلُجَينِ
2. A partridge feather crowns his head
With sleeves rolled up
٢. عَلَيهِ قُرطُقُ وَشيٍ
مُشَمَّرَ الكُمَّينِ
3. His chest adorned by two moles
Like a pair of roses
٣. قَد زَيَّنَ النَحرَ مِنهُ
ثِنتانِ كَالوَردَتَينِ
4. When dawn breaks
Its light stripes his cheeks
٤. حَتّى إِذا الصُبحَ يَبدو
مُطَرَّزَ الطَرتَينِ
5. He utters a joyous prayer
Clapping his hands
٥. دَعا دُعاءَ طَروبٍ
مُصَفِّقَ الكَفَّينِ
6. He prays and we hear
Whoever has ears
٦. دَعا فَأَسمَعَ مِنّا
مَن كانَ ذا أُذُنَينِ
7. Shining in his necklace and crown
As if he has two shepherds
٧. يَزهى بِطَوقٍ وَتاجٍ
كَأَنَّهُ ذو رُعَينِ
