1. Say to him with a beard overflowing
And the manure of every ignorant man is his ignorance
١. قُل لِلمُدِلِّ بِلِحيَةٍ مَوفورَةٍ
وَسَمادُ لِحيَةِ كُلِّ أَلحى جَهلُهُ
2. Do not let the length of your turban impress you
He whose beard is long, his mind is short
٢. لا يُعجِبَنَّكَ طولُ بَندِكَ إِنَّهُ
مَن طالَ لِحيَتُهُ تَكَوسَجَ عَقلُهُ
