1. We have perfume and breeze,
Delight and carriage and song.

2. Of drinks, a multitude
Of flavors and hues belong.

3. Of meats, a medley
Of roasting and stewing strong.

4. Of sweets, varieties
Unique and in throng.

5. And we have lads sincere
Well-mannered and refined.

6. Who poured in the dish water,
As though the dish were lined.

7. And bent to beauty hostile,
Its margins they confined.

8. So shed the cares of sorrow,
Since care is but trial.

9. And seize the joy of a day,
Unmarred by grief and guile.

10. For it will sweep o’er you and pass,
To this world belongs no stay.
