1. O my two brothers Abd Shams and Nawfal
I implore you not to ignite war amongst us
١. أَيا أَخَوَينا عَبدَ شَمسٍ وَنَوفَلا
أُعيذُكُما أَن تَبعَثا بَينَنا حَربا
2. If not for the fear of Allah, nothing else
You would have gathered against us troops undeterred
٢. فَلَولا اِتّقاءُ اللَهِ لا شَيءَ غَيرهُ
لَأَصبَحتُمُ لا تمنَعونَ لَكُم سِربا
3. We have committed no crime against the noble Quraysh
Except that we have withheld what is best of the dust
٣. وَما إِن جَنَينا في قُرَيشٍ عَظيمَةً
سِوى أَن مَنَعَنا خَيرَ مَن وَطِئ التُربا
