1. I lost sleep as the stars took aim
And stayed awake with worries untamed

2. For the injustice of a folk so cruel
Their disloyalty festers, their hearts so foul

3. Defiling the sacred bonds to their own brother
No code bars them, no creed can deter

4. Begging God's mercy and bountiful grace
While committing vile acts that shame and debase

5. Banu Taym and their Hudhayl allies
With us Makhzoom, their fortunes now tied

6. Do not curb Hudhayl or their brazen warriors
Mischief's their way, to goodness they're strangers

7. Makhzoom, least wise when rage is unfurled
Sanity lost in their world

8. Heeding Mughira's son and Ibn Harb's decree
Slanderous men, their souls sullied with infamy

9. Spewing their lies, their injustice and folly
Some words still earnest, though muddied wholly

10. Kinsmen, pause, do not force this ascent
That will lead but to ruin and deep discontent

11. Some will be shamed, some humbled that day
No oppressor thrives, that is Virtue's way

12. By the whirling pilgrims, this oath we avow
We'll never set foot in Mecca's valley now

13. Till you strike us down or we strike the same
And witness the reckoning that Fortune will claim

14. Men will fall around us, felled in the fray
As warriors retreat and innocents pay

15. Then they who so cruelly plotted and schemed
Will know they alone bear guilt so extreme

16. Seeking to murder Ahmad though no guide
Could sanction such hate or take credit with pride

17. We band with Mohammed, united arise
To face the unworthy, the unjust, the unwise
