From oppression in this region

2. Otherwise I fear the consequences -
Calamities will befall your homes

By the Lord of the West and the East

Thamud, Aad - who remains?

5. Upon them descended His wrath
In the strike of al-Azraq

6. The morning the roaring wind came

A sword from Indian steel of splendor

8. More amazing than that is your affair
Wonders in the clinging rock

9. In the palm of the one who stood
To the patient, truthful and God-fearing

10. So Allah withered it in his palm
Despite the ignorant tyrant

11. Curse the foolishness of Makhzoom
When he strayed towards the straying disbelievers
