1. If I had not prolonged the hope of meeting
I would not have lived the pain of separation

2. So I remain like a snake bitten one
My light, my hope and my fidelity

3. O third of the two moons except
During eclipse and disappearance

4. My tears upon you will not
Cease and my soul will not be soothed

5. And why would the heart quench its thirst
While my eyelids are pouring rivers

6. And the drowning tears of my eyes
Meet only burning

7. And love has not covered my ribs
With yearning and has not watered the waterways

8. I hope you reward your lover
With requital and harmony

9. And I have met your love
The greatest I have met and will ever meet

10. And I have been patient with you despite
The patience of a prisoner in shackles

11. And I knew that patience, oh sweet
Pain, is bitter in taste

12. So turn away from the turned away
Attitudes towards you full of hypocrisy

13. And be kind even with a glance

Faithfully with no barriers

From your eyes and be alert

17. As the bright darken their eyes
Firmer than thin pastry

20. And when my hopes descended on Mustafa
And the vast temple

21. Descend while you are gentle
To return to the high grounds satisfied

22. Verily the glory of Al-Albi is who
Transcends the seven heavens

23. The glorious, righteous, chaste
Who abandoned worldly possessions and luxuries

24. And the famous scholar
With unanimously recognized knowledge

25. And the foremost son of the foremost
To the most high with speed

26. They do not realize the extent of glory
Of the past and remaining

27. And how enormous following in their trace
Is the hopeful beyond reach

28. And if he in his determination was like an arrow
Upon release

29. And when will the crippled reach the glory
Of the emancipated?

30. An example is one who rises but does not rise
To the heaven like Al-Buraq

31. The misery of my envious enemies
Increased, indeed they are in agony

32. And I reckon their small groups altogether
Are separated in dispersion

33. They were created as such and have nothing for them
On Judgement Day to create

34. And unto You, oh chaste whom The Truthful sufficed
From friendships

35. How skilled is my mind but to divorce
All except You

36. And Your praise polished like pearls is interlinked
In a well aligned order

37. You have solved while not needing
My word play, alliteration and derivation

38. With praises more beloved to souls
Than comfort and journeying legs

39. Greet and let the cup of praise
Water your landmarks

40. Lord of Sham and leader
And leader of the chiefs of Iraq

41. With perpetual favor morning
And evening

42. As You are the one who revives poetry
And has transcended in the race
