3. And to accept the judgment of the nights that fold me

5. I cannot accomplish what is intended
Nor am I skilled in speech

6. Nor do I agree to acquire for myself
A cowardly fellowship, even if I am graced by ignorance

7. And if one who scorns me passes by, I stand
Against the attackers of enemies, how I charge

8. Some of the people of my time gather
For safety, yet on the day of crowds they are few

9. My request when glory pleases is to allow me
The narrowest space where the sick can turn

10. My fear for the eternal glory made me lose
A land in which the mother of loyalty is barren

11. I remembered my life in the capitals, so I set out
With its memory, an anguish and agony for me

12. And I sought from its edges the scent of youth
But it passed as the invalid passes, an invalid

13. May God protect my dear beloved ones when I remember them
Evil suspicion or easy forgiveness

14. Their abode is between my ribs to the grave
They are the best of faraway lands

15. We hope that if the soil of their lands

23. No shame if yesterday I said:
When your day comes you too will be killed

24. So I said to it: Do not rave, for
Time is unfair to the noble and generous

25. I must, if my Master wills, make a raid
That will terrify our enemies and make them recoil

26. Travel by night, extend by dawn
So it shines in it like ascending stars

27. With it take, O spots, what you deem right for me
Otherwise I will shoot the arrow and it is beautiful

28. A night like the day of separation, rather like its era
Joined upon us, it almost does not pass

29. We met the darkness and it was armies
And we waded the desert and it was floods

30. We walked leading the she-camels at night
In haste and the wronged are rash

34. Generous, your hands are like stars not clouds
Clement to the sinful evil-doer, patient

35. The destination of delegations, your courtyard is
Spacious and your shade is shady

36. Awe-inspiring, obeying God until
The people fearfully obey you, with an awe-inspiring aura

37. Wearing a cloak of victory, sheltering
Its fringes flowing above the sky

38. Bearing the burdens of affairs, so
The sorrows of life became easy for him

39. Renewing the custom of generosity after its decline
For generosity was a wasteland, and he is making it flourish

40. Our stars were ennobled by his arrival
As the ancient house was ennobled by the Messenger

41. Thus we remain included in his acceptance
Whenever we seek union and acceptance

42. A company of youths among the people in afflictions
And mature in prohibition and ordeal

43. They lost the world preserving the edges of their glory
And their high ambition captured their minds

44. They are the people whom turning away does not touch
Nor are they preoccupied with a caretaker of wealth

45. The son of glory, generosity, and he whose
Death the cosmic spheres lamented

46. Your son, my hopes in you are many
And you are capable of fulfilling the purpose

47. I implore you, time may deceive me
So it leans toward me, heavy

48. And I please you in both cases: that I am guilty
And you accept the stumbles of the wrongdoer

49. And that you are pleased with me, my Master extending time
And I am not weary of this position

50. So live in comfortable life, its darkness upon you
Is morning, and separation is connection

51. You continue rising in rank, rank after rank
With treasures that guide the world and ignorance

52. My status from the Merciful is the most prideworthy state
That illuminates my forehead and the palms pour

53. The duration of time, like Yemeni aloeswood, elegance
Pure white that no defects touch
