1. O my eyes, keep shedding tears generously,
And crying for the Master is a rightful duty,

2. For the one with sublime virtues and favors,
And sheer honesty and revered piety,

3. The tribe's refuge in times of adversity,
Now laid to rest in a simple shroud steadily,

4. May God, the Lord of all creation,
And the people of the land pray for Ahmed,

5. How can one stay after the beloved’s tragedy,
Among gatherings and crowds normally?

6. Oh that death would take us altogether,
And we would all be with the rightly guided leader
