1. You consider killing in the sacred month a grave sin,
Though greater if the righteous saw true guidance.

2. Your rejection of what Muhammad says,
And disbelief in him, while God is my witness.

3. Your expulsion of God's people from His mosque,
Lest prostrators to God be seen in the House.

4. Yet if you reproach us for killing him,
And those envious and hostile to Islam roar,

5. We quenched our spears in Ibn al-Hadrami's blood
When he ignited war, fanning its flames.

6. Blood between us and the son of Abdullah, Usman,
Whose neck sinews stubbornly resist the sword.
