1. The eye of my generosity, for that is my remedy
Do not weary of sighing and weeping

2. When they said the Messenger has passed away
Indeed that is the utmost tribulation

3. Mourn the best of those Allah honored in life
And the one He singled out with the revelation from the sky

4. With abundant tears from you until
Allah fulfills in you the decree of destiny

5. What you knew of his coming was truly auspicious
And it was a mercy during times of brilliance

6. After that it was a light
And a lamp illuminating the darkness

7. The sweet basil, myrtle and acacia fragrance
