1. My beloved came with his affection,
So my slumber left when he came.
١. صَدفَ الحَبيبُ بِوَصلِهِ
فَجَفا رُقادي إِذ صَدَف
2. And I shed the pearls of my tears -
My eyelids became like seashells.
٢. وَنَثَرتُ لُؤلُؤَ عَبرَةٍ
أَضحى لَها جَفني صَدَف
