١. طَويلٌ لَهُ دونَ البُحورِ فَضائِلُ
فَعولُن مَفاعيلُ فَعولُن مَفاعِلُ

٢. لَمَديدِ الشِعرِ عِندي صِفاتُ

٣. إِنَّ البَسيطَ لَدَيهِ يُبسَطُ الأَمَلُ
مُستَفعِلُن فاعِلُن مُستَفعِلُن فَعِلُ
4. In the seas of prosody a sea facilitates
The sands of the seas the trusts water it
٤. بُحورُ الشِعرِ وافِرُها جَميلُ
مُفاعَلَتُن مُفاعَلَتُن فُعولُ
5. A swift sea for it there is no coast
Frolicking in it the example is struck
٥. كَمُلَ الجَمالُ مِنَ البُحورِ الكامِلُ
مُتَفاعِلُن مُتَفاعِلُن مُتَفاعِلُ
6. Oh light, with it the movements were gentle

٦. عَلى الأَهزاجِ تَسهيلُ
مَفاعيلُن مَفاعيلُ

١٣. اِقتَضِب كَما سَأَلوا
فاعِلاتُ مُفتَعِلُ
١٤. إِن جُثَّتِ الحَركاتُ
مُستَفعِلُن فاعِلاتُ
١٥. عَنِ المُتقارِبِ قالَ الخَليلُ
فَعولُن فَعولُن فَعولُن فَعولُ
١٦. حَرَكاتُ المُحدَثِ تَنتَقِلُ
