1. O lovely day in the verdant meadows
I stole it surreptitiously from my life

2. And the morning dew has crowned the flowers
Perfume has scented the atmosphere, the scent of blossoms

3. I enjoyed it after the dawn had emerged
When the red twilight was unfolding

4. And the birds were gliding in the water's cove
As though they were ships sailing the sea

Short of leg bone, perfect in talon
