1. By Allah, I will not accept your gift
And give me precedence over my peers.
١. تَاللَهِ إِلّا ما قَبِلتَ هَدِيَّتي
وَجَعَلتَ لي فَضلاً عَلى الأَقرانِ
2. The sea spawns every cloud
That flows out and welcomes the treacherous.
٢. فَالبَحرُ تَنشَأُ مِنهُ كُلُّ سَحابَةٍ
صَدرَت وَيَقبَلُ فاضِلَ الغُدرانِ
