1. I will praise Your bounties with words
Whose beauties time does not erase or decay
١. سَأُثني عَلى نُعماكِ بِالكَلِمِ الَّتي
مَحاسِنُها تُبلي الزَمانَ وَلا تَبلى
2. And give thanks with gratitude wherein I have no merit
Just as the meadow has no merit should it give thanks for the rain.
٢. وَأَشكُرُ شُكراً لَيسَ لي فيهِ مِنَّةٌ
وَلا مِنَّةٌ لِلرَوضِ إِن شَكَرَ الوَبلا
